Isolated showers and possibly a few thunderstorms will continue to develop over the east central to southeastern plains of New Mexico through the morning hours. Most of the activity will move toward the northeast at speeds around 35 mph favoring eastern Chaves... Roosevelt...Curry...and Quay counties. Brief downpours...erratic wind gusts...and occasional cloud to ground lightning will be possible near this activity. In addition...winds will suddenly shift to the northeast as a cold front sweeps through the area. Expect gusty winds up to 30 mph in some locales along and north the front.
